Types Of ISDN

There are two types of ISDN services available: Basic Rate and Primary Rate.

• Basic Rate ISDN (ISDN2)

This provides two channels of ISDN and may be used for smaller applications this uses only the European Telecommunications Standard (ETSI). 

• Primary Rate ISDN (ISDN30)

This provides thirty channels of ISDN, and is used for both voice and data requirements. This is available in the two main signalling standards,  DASS II and Q.931.
